The Phoenix Piano Trio

The Phoenix Piano Trio undertakes a major survey of Beethoven’s trios, containing many of the greatest works of the chamber music repertoire, over five programmes. They are also commissioning a new work “in response” to Beethoven’s trios for each programme, bringing together the staple works of the trio repertoire with repertoire from the next generation of composers and highlighting Beethoven as the ground-breaking firebrand of his own day. Each programme is performed in London at the Forge, a recently-built concert hall in Camden Town ideally suited to intimate chamber music, and at the Holywell Music Room in Oxford, Europe’s oldest concert hall, with a magical atmosphere and perfect acoustic. 

Several of the programmes are repeated in various other venues. Any promoters wishing to take on any part or all of the series should contact the Trio.
